Smokey with a slight raisin-like flavor, Urfa Biber is a type of Turkish red chili pepper. Allowed to ripen on the plant until a rich maroon, these chilis are then dried in the sun during the day and wrapped at night, to help retain their moisture.

Urfa Biber is a more mild pepper with building heat, great for savory dishes. It has a deeper, smokier flavor than the brighter, more citrusy Aleppo Pepper.
